Before you send them to ChatGPT, a colleague or an expert,
rature finds and removes names, addresses, emails, phone numbers and IDs.
Everything runs in your browser: no file is uploaded.
Rature runs on a computer
The analysis runs entirely in your browser, with a detection model and a review step that need a computer. Send yourself the link to open it later.
Rature Pro: a whole case file in one review
Drop all your documents at once. Names you already redacted are found automatically in every new document.
Rature finds the personal data, you review it, then the text is removed from the exported PDF. There is nothing left under the black boxes to copy or extract.

You don't have to take our word for it: others can check it for you.
In a few minutes, an IT person can watch what Rature exchanges with the internet during an analysis: the detection model download from huggingface.co and cookieless analytics. Your document is never sent.
Rature is open source, under the AGPL licence. The code that processes your documents is published on GitHub: any developer or security expert can read it and confirm that it sends nothing.
Have an AI summarise or analyse a file without handing it your clients' names.
Send a document without exposing the people named in it.
Give people the documents about them while hiding third parties' data.
Publish a decision, a report or a case study without identifying the parties.
No. The PDF is read, analysed and redacted in your browser, on your computer. Rature has no server that receives files. Only the detection model is downloaded, from Hugging Face, the first time you use it.
No. Rature doesn't just draw a black box over the text: it removes the text from the exported PDF. Copy and paste or an extraction tool finds nothing under the redacted areas. The export can also strip the file's metadata (author, dates, original document properties).
Yes, with no sign-up and no usage limit. The code is open source, under the AGPL licence. A paid plan, Rature Pro, is in the works for professionals who redact entire case files.
Rature finds names, addresses, emails, phone numbers, IDs and other personal data. Automatic detection can get things wrong: before exporting, you review the document, remove what shouldn't be redacted and add what was missed.
Yes, it's one of the main uses. Redact the PDF with Rature, check the result, then give the exported version to ChatGPT, Copilot or another assistant. Review it carefully: specific context (a job title, a place, a date) is sometimes enough to identify someone.
Detection relies on an AI model that runs in your browser. It weighs about 400 MB and is downloaded only once, then kept in the browser cache. Later analyses start much faster.
